As one who has worked for -- and with -- Mike Bloomberg, I believe the measure of the man weighs decidedly in his favor. His philanthropy and activism, especially in his advocacy of sensible gun control measures and climate change, largely militate against his blunt, often caustic and stubborn nature. Typically, he's been tone-deaf to criticism of his simplistic, politically incorrect public policy statements, .i.e., on stop-and-frisk and red-lining, which he insists reflected pragmatism, not bigotry.

If you're "anointed" don't seek out other "anointed" so says the Watchtower January 2020
by RolRod inwhen i was affiliated with the witnesses, there were barely 6,000 who profess to be of the anointed remnant.
i recently read somewhere that today there are over 20,000 who profess to be anointed.
that figure may be more when you consider those who meet and partake privately for fear of the stigma of claiming to be anointed.

JWs meeting -- and talking independently -- in small groups -- is anathema to a paranoid Governing Body; it's probably the real reason they dismantled the old midweek Book Studies in private homes.
When he introduced the so-called "new Light" in 2013 limiting the FDS to just the Governing Body, Splane hinted that it would hopefully end the nuisance of having to deal with letters from the field submitted by the (newly demoted) individual anointed JWs, writing in to offer their independent "revelations" or "New Light" suggestions, etc. "Thanks but no thanks" was his implicit message.

Very interesting. It's been some time since they've abandoned the focus on information to the general public in their Sunday talk subjects in favor of "reaching to the choir."
Tme was when we speakers were counseled not to lace our public talk with esoteric JW jargon ("theospeak") that would not be understood by the uninitiated.
